Kay Byfield, MFA and SWS, will present “The Secrets of Color” which will include an exploration of all the facets of color (value, intensity, temperature, and complements) along with demonstrations and practical exercises. Members are welcome to bring a painting to get feedback about color in regard to their own work.

Three-day workshop with watercolor painter Carrie Waller. This noted artist will show participants how she achieves her vibrant still-life paintings of light bulbs and other clear, translucent, and reflective surfaces.

We are planning the first weekend in April 4-6th. Hico is a really cool little town about an hour and half from Dallas, just past Glenrose. There are some great downtown 1890 limestone buildings. April is Wildflower time. there is a river and rusty bridge which would make a fabulous painting location. There is plenty of Billy the Kid lore for those looking for a story to paint. Plenty of places to stay, and restaurants to eat. Most everything is within walking distance.
