One-Day Classes

This webpage details the One Day Classes offered by Southwestern Watercolor Society.

In addition to One Day Classes, SWS also offers six Multi-Day Workshops per year: 3 in the spring and 3 in the fall.

Renee Wrenwood Watercolor Pouring 2/28/2026

Immerse yourself in the joys of watercolor pouring and learn to create watercolor paintings by actually pouring and squirting paint!

We'll use the primary colors, allowing them to mingle on the paper, creating gorgeous color blends! We'll control this juicy, delicious color feast using masking fluid to delineate the whites, lights, and shapes. Mask, pour, dry, repeat! After 3 to 10 pours, we will remove the mask for the great reveal! Add any desired details with a paintbrush to finish your stunning watercolor painting.

All supplies plus traceable reference photos are provided. We'll be painting on pre-stretched 11"x15" Fabriano Artistico paper..

Payment in full is required for our One-Day Classes at time of registration.

ONE-DAY CLASSES POLICY:

The one-day local classes will offer watercolorists the opportunity to broaden their experience under the guidance of accomplished local artists.

Workshop enrollment is typically limited to 15-20 participants. Reservations are accepted in the order in which they are received. Wait lists are also formed in the order that requests are received.

There is no deposit with one-day classes. Payment will be made in full at the time of registration and the workshop refund policy will be followed.

*(If you are a member and accidentally register as a nonmember, you will not be able to obtain a refund. Please be aware when you register.)

Cancellation/Refund Policy

The cancelling member shall contact the One Day Class Coordinator as soon as possible to facilitate replacement. The SWS wait list has first priority over other students who are not on the wait list.

Upon a student’s cancellation of a class at least one month prior to the start date of the One Day Class, the fee is 100% refundable.

Upon a student’s cancellation less than one month prior to the start date of the class, the fee is refundable only if the space is filled and paid for.

There are no refunds for no-shows or withdrawals the day of the class.

SWS reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons. If SWS cancels a class, applicants will receive a full refund.
