This One Day watercolor landscape class will focus on exploring plein air techniques, shadows, light, and freshness. Topics include:
- Plein air materials and equipment
- Finding the center of interest and a composition in a vast landscape
- How to prepare a sketch for painting (what's important and what's not)
- Watercolor color mixing and application
- Finding the lights and darks
- Wet into wet applications to keep the painting fresh
- Shadow mixing and application
- Adding color bounce

The class will be held in the youth activity room at the North Highlands Bible Church, in Dallas, from 9 am to 4 pm. Please note that this is a new location!
Participants can bring their lunch, order food delivery, or take a short lunch break at nearby restaurants. The room has a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator available for our use. Close parking is available on the west side of the church.
Registration is open to SWS members or nonmembers at a cost of $100 or $115 respectively. Remember to log in prior to registering in order to receive the member price.
